Tuesday, January 11 Keven Willey , EditorialDepartment Editor, Arizona Republic
Ever wonder who decides what does or does not get to appear on the editorial page of the Arizona Republic? Do you know what differentiates a letter to the editor from the "my turn" column? Who decides what the Republic’s opinion is on a particular topic? Join us on Tuesday, January 11, to hear Keven Willey as she answers these questions AND gives us her views on the 2000 presidential election. Come and share your comments and questions, and learn from Keven some of the little-known facts about what is ahead for us as we move closer and closer to the next election. There will be time for questions and answers, so come prepared to ask what is on your mind. As our membership drive continues, please invite a non-member financial executive to attend the January meeting with you. The best way for us to let others know what a fine professional organization we have is by sponsoring them to attend a meeting so they can get acquainted. Remember, there is no charge for you to bring a first-time prospective member to our monthly meeting.
Technical Session Dan McAuliffe from Snell & Wilmer will present his "Y2K Post Mortem." He will address various areas including how it affects you. Dan specializes in general commercial litigation. A Harvard law School graduate, he joined Snell & Wilmer after four years with the US Dept. of Justice. He is currently involved in numerous professional and community activities, including the Phoenix Symphony Associates. Be sure to join us for his presentation and CPE credit. __________________________________ Please call in your reservation before noon, Friday, January 7.
