Jerry Ford, who recently transferred to our chapter from Minneapolis, deserves a special "thank you" for his work in arranging for us to enjoy the wit and wisdom of Dennis Beresford at last month’s meeting. Dennis provided us with his perspective on the current focus of FASB and its interaction with those impacted by their pronouncements. A special thanks goes out to Drake Beam Morin for their sponsorship and workshop presentation. We were most fortunate to have Frank Rogers-Witte, Jefferson Welch, and Heather Rockwell join us for the technical session. In addition to an excellent presentation of Innovations in Executive Coaching, they had attendees complete the I-SPEAK Your Language survey of personal styles. That allowed us to learn how we behave under favorable and stressful conditions. That was an interesting insight for each of us. |
Our guest list at our October meeting read like pages from Who’s Who of Financial Executives. We are proud to report that ten guests attended the meeting. Just to drop a few names, we want to thank Dianne McDaniel for sponsoring Linda Shepard, Sue Shacklock, and Trish Gulbranson. D. J. Cole brought Cindy Gabriel and Mary Ann Hopf. Phil Reckers sponsored Joseph Schultz, Harvey Schrednick, and Sanjay Gupta as his guests.
Remember, all members are encouraged to invite potential members to our regular monthly meetings to share the value of FEI with fellow professionals. Kevin Ryan, our membership chair, and his committee are doing an outstanding job this year. Naturally, they need everyone to help with recruiting new members. See you at the November meeting — Tom Kerins |
