NEW LOCATION – PHOENIX COUNTRY CLUB

FEI Dinner Meeting

Do Not Pass Go – Do not Collect $200!

Speaker – Joe Arpaio

Sheriff Joe – our spirited controversial sheriff – has put Maricopa County’s Sheriff’s Office on the map.  Everywhere you go, people know Sheriff Joe.  But what’s behind the news stories?  How have those of us who live here benefited from the difference he has made?

Come to the October FEI meeting and hear Sheriff Joe as he discusses what is going on in the sheriff’s office.  You will come away with a lot of first-hand knowledge about the changes that have been made and how those have benefited Maricopa County.  Did you know?    Sheriff Joe gives back to our community, too!

Please plan to bring a prospective member, a friend, or your spouse.  This is a unique opportunity to share with others.  There will be a nominal cost of $25 for non-prospective member guests.

Our five o’clock technical session, presented by Bill Siwek of Arthur Andersen, will focus on “Business Process Outsourcing Trends”.

Be sure to make your reservation and join us for dinner and a superb program on Tuesday evening, October 10th.  Bring a prospective member or guest, too, and share this dynamic evening!

From   Your   President      Kevin   Ryan

Our first meeting was held September 12th and was well attended.  Mike McCracken of Tatum CFO Partners presented his thoughts on the current role of the CFO at the technical session.  This was followed by a very interesting dinner meeting and talk by Gordon James on what it is like to be an advance man in a Presidential campaign and for the President himself.  His travels with George Bush in the late eighties and early nineties provided an attention-grabbing backdrop to the current Presidential campaign.  Thank you Gordon – wherever the campaign trails may be taking you in the next few weeks!

Speaking of campaigns – Sheriff Joe Arpaio, our dinner speaker at the October 10th meeting, is taking time from his campaign to spend an evening with us.  Anyone that has been in Arizona for at least a month will know that he will be an enjoyable speaker.  More importantly, in anticipation of a larger than expected turnout, we will be shifting our meeting to the Phoenix Country Club (7th Street and Thomas).  The technical session will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by the reception at 6:00.  I look forward to seeing a larger than usual FEI Posse to welcome the Sheriff.

Last Chance for Directory Picture

Annual Dues now Due

Member pictures will be taken October 10th at the meeting.  A photographer will be there to take your picture.  If you have not had your picture taken and cannot attend, please mail us a small photo.

We promise not to give your picture to Sheriff Joe.  And be assured that this will not be a mug shot!  Don’t be shy – get your picture taken.

Recently we mailed members their dues renewal notices and a copy of the information currently held in the database.  Returning this form allows us to update the database with your current information.

Please return it as soon as possible and your dues payment with a copy of your invoice so we can list your information correctly in this year’s directory.  Thank you.
